We're incredibly honored and excited to be joining the Western Washington LYS Tour this year! This year's theme of "Celebrating Community" is especially near and dear to our hearts, and we're looking forward to introducing you to the Stanwood-Camano area or letting you know about some of our favorite hidden gems. As always, we'll be offering free buttons and free, totally original crochet and knitting patterns to all Tourists; the yarn (or yarns) we choose to support those patterns will be 10% off for the duration of the Tour.
Mark your calendars for May 16-20, 2018, and start plotting your itinerary now! The Tour has made an interactive Google map available to help you with route planning - get it over here (link will open a new window). We'll be posting more information about planning your visit to the Stanwood-Camano area as the Tour gets closer.
If you want to make sure to get a 2018 bag with the new logo on it (shown above), you can swing by our brick-and-mortar shop in Stanwood, Washington or grab one in our online store. Please note that we won't be doing tote pre-sales; the listing for the bags will go from "sold out" to "in stock" as soon as we get the bags from the printer in early spring 2018. Keep an eye on our social media pages for updates!
#LYSTourAfghanProject This year's Tour theme is Celebrating Community. Every shop on the Tour designed a 12"/30.5cm blanket square; each Friday, two new squares (and their patterns, of course) will be revealed, and the Tour will spotlight the shops that designed them. We can't wait to see what you do with them! Use the Tour's official hashtag for the project, #LYSTourAfghanProject, when you share photos of your work on Facebook or Instagram.
Not sure what to do, but want to use your squares for a good cause? How about using your favorites to create a blanket for the Binky Patrol? We support them throughour Community Cause Crafting group on Thursday mornings, 10 AM - noon.
Our square and shop were featured on Friday, February 9. We're proud to present the Freedom Park Square as part of this year's Afghan Project, and if you're looking for the tutorial on the P 5-row ladder stitch, here's the video!
