One of the biggest problems new sock knitters face: how do you get a firm, yet elastic edge that'll stand up to years of being pulled on and off and staying up for daily wear?

In this class, we'll revisit the long-tail cast-on and learn its sock-friendly variation, the Old Norwegian (aka "German Twisted") cast-on.

Prerequisite skills: casting on, knit stitch, purl stitch
Materials recommended: US7 needles in your favorite configuration (we won't be joining in the round for this class) and a worsted-weight yarn in a light color
