West Yorkshire Spinners Fleece DK - Jacob
The American distributor for West Yorkshire Spinners has announced that they will no longer import WYS yarns to the US. It's sad news for those of us who love their breed-specific yarns... but get what we still have on the shelves while you can, and enjoy a discount! No special orders / restocks will be available.
In Britain, Jacob sheep have been kept as "decorative" animals in country estates for hundreds of years. Their signature horns (usually four) and multicolored coat make them stand out from other sheep you may have seen. Their wool is of medium softness, but its color variety and rustic "crunch" make it an excellent choice for outer garments, or for garments you intend to layer on top of other garments.
We offer several colors of West Yorkshire Spinners' Fleece DK from Jacobs wool; the wool comes from British flocks and is spun at the WYS mill in Keighley, Yorkshire, England. All colors are undyed natural colors.
