Although many of us use a traditional flap-and-gusset heel in our socks, you might find a better fit when you use a short-row heel. Don't care for socks but want to learn how to work a German short row because you've heard it's the easiest method out there? Join us for this mini-class!
- Class date/time: Sunday, November 8, 7 - 8 PM PST
- Prerequisite skills: casting on, knit stitch, purl stitch
- Materials recommended: US7 needles in your favorite configuration (we won't be joining in the round for this class) and a worsted-weight yarn in a light color
- HOMEWORK: Please cast on 20 stitches with your preferred method and knit 2 unconnected pieces of 5-6 rows of 2x2 ribbing, leaving a tail of yarn attached to each that will suffice to complete a bind-off row. (Good rule of thumb: leave 3-4 times the width of the piece as a tail.). It does not need to be done in the round.
- Class fee: $10
