Learn to Knit
Welcome to our introductory knitting lessons - we teach all of our introductory courses as one-on-one lessons so that we can adapt to what you already know (or what you think you might have known but have forgotten over time) and how you learn best.
When you sign up for Learn to Knit lessons, you purchase 3 hours' worth of learning time. In these lessons, you will learn the two main knitting stitches, how to start and finish projects, and how to read basic patterns. We'll also get you started on your first project. Best part? If you feel confident enough to get going and haven't used all 3 hours, we'll convert the balance of unused time into a store credit that you can apply towards a project.
(If you need financial assistance, please let us know in the comments section at check-out; we will let you know what we have available in the Community Crafting Fund. Your inquiry will remain confidential.)
Details:
- Once you place an order for a learn-to-knit series, we will call you on our next business day to schedule your first lesson. We will schedule the next lesson/s at the end of each lesson. We prefer to teach lessons on Tuesdays and Thursdays after the shop closes, but we occasionally have other time slots available.
- Needles and yarn are included with your class fees and are yours to keep once we complete the lessons!
- NOTE: Our standard yarn for Learn to Knit is a soft wool/synthetic blend. Please select Berroco Vintage below for that option. If you prefer to avoid animal fibers, please choose Berroco Pima 100 (100% Pima cotton) as your yarn option below. There is a small surcharge for the Pima 100 due to the price difference between the Pima 100 and our standard yarn.
