Radicle Threads is a BBIMP* grassroots company that aims to create a sustainable, ethical, and equitable online and print publication with a focus on crafting. Their mission is to uplift, amplify, and empower BBIMP voices and to share their knowledge, skills, and experiences with the goal of increasing accessibility for all.

Issue 3's theme is "Occult." “Hidden, secret and mysterious, particularly pertaining to the supernatural.” Occult practices appeal to our natural curiosity.

Inside this issue:

  • 8 RECIPES
  • 12 CROCHET & KNIT PATTERNS
  • 2 CRAFTING PROJECTS
  • 5 ARTICLES
  • Journal of Fennigan’s Farms, with the final update to their story.

*Please note* BBIMP, Black, Brown, Indigenous, Melanated People is created by Louiza “Weeze” Doran@accordingtoweeze.

Statement from Radicle Threads: We understand and realize that we are not a monolith and our views, thoughts, and opinions are representative of us, our contributors, and not all BBIMP.

Land Acknowledgement

We honor the first peoples of our area by acknowledging that our location is within the traditional lands and waters of the following communities: stuləgʷábš, People of the River, Stoluck-wa-mish River Tribe, the Stillaguamish Tribe of Indians; the Tulalip Tribes and their ancestral bands; the Cayuse, Umatilla and Walla Walla peoples; and the Upper Skagit Indian Tribe and its eleven predecessor bands. These groups have inhabited this area for thousands of years; their descendants have remained here, actively practicing and re-establishing traditional activities and beliefs, to this day.
