Shearing School Fundraiser Fibers
When Lindsey found out she had been accepted to shearing school for the 2024 class, the wonderful women of Skagit Woolen Works collaborated with her on some fundraiser fiber ideas. We've got two great options for you to choose from - 50% of the proceeds from each limited-edition item will go to Lindsey to support the expenses associated with shearing school. Option 1: 2-ounce / 57-gram bundles of Skagit Woolen Works's very own Rosie Green! Rosie is the big industrial carder that started it all for our nearest and dearest cottage mill, and her green paint job is the inspiration for the color of this "Island Blend" roving (Island Blend is a mix of crossbreeds from the San Juans - usually some combination of BFL / Romney / Coopworth.) Each bundle is $10.
Option 2: 6 ounces / 171 grams of breed-specific sampler bliss! You'll get 1 ounce / 28 grams each of the following fibers: Island Cross (BFL / Romney / Coopworth cross), Coopworth / mohair blend, Wensleydale, East Friesian, Finn, and Romney /alpaca. Each sampler bag is $30.
