A Week of Small Business Saturday: 2020

I wish we weren't still in such limited operation... alas, we are hitting our third peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, and we're still unable to welcome visitors and social times as we would normally be enjoying doing at the busy intersection of cooler weather and the winter holiday season. 

That being said, Small Business Saturday is still happening this year, and we're extending it for an entire week so that we can observe all the necessary public health guidelines to keep our shop staff, families, and community safe. Our Week of Small Business Saturday will run from Saturday, November 28 through Saturday, December 5... and that means all our deals and special activities will run for the entire week, too! 

Here's what you can plan on: 

• Donate / Discount / Do Good: Donate an item to the food bank or the Warming Tree at Stanwood Elementary School, find out what your discount is, and either use the discount for your purchase or pay in full and donate the equivalent amount of your discount to one of our amazing charities/organizations. 
• Safe Harbor Bag Benefit: Mary, our amazing clerk, is also the sewist behind On a Lark Design Goods. All of her open-top project totes will be marked down to $17 for the week, and $12 of every project tote purchase will be donated to the Safe Harbor Free Clinic in Stanwood.
• Unload the Sale Rack: Everything on our sale rack will be marked off an additional 15% (discount given at register). As always, if you purchase of the last of something on the sale rack - colorway or yarn line - we'll give you an extra 10% off as thanks for helping us free up more shelf space! (We'll be suspending our online bargain bin this week to make sure we don't oversell any items - generally speaking, once an item hits our sale rack, it's been discontinued.) 
• Grab Bags: Mary and I loaded up some grab bags last week. They contain all kinds of yarn goodies, with the occasional notion thrown in... we even put together a few super-duper special bags that are chock-full of surprise goodness! No peeking, though, and no returns - the closest we'll get to revealing what's inside is telling you whether the contents of a given bag are vegan or not. Once they're gone, they're gone, so if you think it's your lucky day, make sure to grab one... 

And as always, thank you for supporting Stilly River Yarns (and all of your other favorite local small, independent businesses). It's been a heck of a year, but we're grateful to still be able to be here serving you.
